Adams Hussey & Associates (AH&A), a direct response marketing agency based in the Washington, DC area and in San Francisco, CA, received two platinum MAXI awards for “Big Idea” from the Direct Marketing Association of Washington at an awards ceremony in July. AH&A also received 20 other MAXI awards for its work on behalf of 12 different clients, more than any other firm which participated in the contest.
One of the two coveted platinum “Big Idea” awards was given for a lapsed member reinstatement package that produced phenomenal results at low cost. The second platinum MAXI was awarded to a calendar appeal package with a strong mission-based graphic design that also generated impressive returns.

With more than 1,500 members, the Direct Marketing Association of Washington is the second-largest regional direct marketing association in the U.S. The 2008 MAXI awards were announced at a reception held on July 23, 2008 to kick off the DMAW's annual Bridge conference, which is held each year as a joint venture with the Association of Fundraising Professionals chapter in Washington, DC.
